This is Me.

Hi, My Name Is Brittany

I’m a mother to three darling and spirited little girls and adoptive Mama to a rescue pit bull mix. Coffee addict and crafter. These are all the usual words I use to describe myself. But I have so many more sides, interests and quirks.

Some other things most people don’t know, is I’m a huge Harry Potter nerd, I speak French and some German. I’m always too hot or too cold, I had a pet peacock growing up (his name was Peter) and at any given time I have about five different ongoing projects all at various stages of doneness.

This is my collection of all things I find interesting and that my family loves. With a sprinkle of our daily adventures and latest craft attempts.

A Little Background

2006 : A Taste of Fashion

I studied fashion design at SCAD and a London University then dove headfirst into the world of fashion. I started my first business and designed women’s clothing and showed in fashion week runways across the U.S. I eventually took over a chain of children’s retail stores until the recession took its toll. Design is something I’ve always gone back to in one form or another.

2018 : Dabbling in the Digital World

Through my business I discovered how much I enjoyed marketing, and what I had learned through trial and error in the art of website building, coding and all things geeky tech. At this point, I was about to be a mom of two and doing something online made the most sense for my new lifestyle. ‘Simply Happy Life’ was born and I helped other small businesses through digital marketing.

2024 : Embracing the Chaos

Now a mother of three (one with special needs), having moved overseas and back again, learned another foreign language, and relocated to the Boston area for a short time; throw in a slightly neurotic dog I rescued and I finally decided to embrace the chaos that is my ever changing and sometimes challenging life. After years worth of work on my website accidentally got deleted and a pesky social media hacker, I re-envisioned what a ‘Simply Happy Life’ meant to me. It’s not one little thing and found it often shifted with the ebbs and flows of my family, but what it all has in common is joy at its core.

2025 : Back to Basics

Another relocation (and hopefully final) with my girls getting older I reflected on what direction I wanted to head in next. I realised the importance of getting back to the basics of play, fun and joy! I have always felt pressured to choose just one concise thing, but like most of my life, I am unconventional so why would my career be any different? So rebranding as just myself ‘Brittany Lingk’ here is the culmination of all the things that bring me joy, from my family’s favourite products, to my designs, my work in a non profit and the highlights of a crazy busy mom life.
